Nestled on the south coast of England, Dorset is a beautiful large open expanse that is mainly countryside and ideal for enjoying a round of golf in. It benefits in the summer from warm temperatures and sunny weather that can, at times, rival its Continental counterparts. The county has a numerous selection of both picturesque and challenging golf courses to test both the novice and proficient golfer.

With superb golf courses and excellent panoramic views, Dorset really is a haven for golfers of all levels of ability, experience, and competitiveness, and is certainly not one that any discerning player will want to miss out on having the opportunity to play in.

The Ashley Wood Golf Club, described by Peter Alliss as "The best kept secret in Dorset", the Club is one of the oldest in the county. Constructed on undulating chalk downland with stunning views, the course drains very quickly and remains playable in all but the most extreme weather.

Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club
This challenging links course is unique as it is set on a cliff top and is part of the World Heritage coastline, an area of outstanding beauty. Large grass mounds, sculptured bunkers and stone walls are all inherent features of the course.

Bulbury Woods Golf Club, built in 1989 has stunning views over Purbecks and Poole Harbour. 

Came Down Golf Club is a downland course on chalk downs, situated between Dorchester and Weymouth. Established in 1896 and steeped in Ryder Cup and Open Championship history, the course has magnificent views over the Dorset countryside and Weymouth Harbour.

Canford Magna Golf Club is Dorset's largest golf complex, situated between Bournemouth and Poole. It's 3 courses are built to championship specification.

Chedington Court Golf Club is a picturesque 18 hole parkland course on the Somerset and Dorset border. It offers challenging golf for all abilities.

Crane Valley Golf Club features a Donald Steele designed Valley Course giving views across magnificent parkland with the River Crane meandering through.

The Dorset Golf & Country Club features the challenging Championship Lakeland, Parkland and picturesque Woodland courses. Designed by the legendary course designer, Martin Hawtree, they offer golfers of all abilities the ultimate golfing challenge.

Ferndown Golf Club is a classic links course of 27 holes cut through natural heathland. Ferndown has earned a reputation as one of the finest and most interesting courses.

Ferndown Forest Golf Club is an 18 hole parkland course set amongst meandering streams and mature trees. The course is just over 5000 yards and is well suited for both the average golfer whilst also giving a good challenge to the more experienced player.

Highcliffe Castle Golf Club is a beautifully kept parkland course, providing a challenge to golfers of all abilities. The terrain is easy walking and the tree lined fairways and small greens mean accuracy is more important than length off the tee.

Knighton Heath Golf Club is a genuine heathland course situated on 90 acres of high ground beside Canford Heath, to the North of Poole. The course has fine views of the Dorset Countryside.

Lyme Regis Golf Club is a cliff top site providing fine coastal views of Portland Bill and looking down on the historic towns and World Heritage Site of Lyme Regis.

Meyrick Park Golf Course, established in 1894, is set in 120 acres of undulating parkland. The Club's rich heritage and and demanding test of golf continues to draw golfers from all over Europe.

Parkstone Golf Club is a beautiful and mature heathland course with lakes, mature pines and a wide variety of wildlife, together with panoramic views over Poole Harbour to Brownsea Island and the Isle of Purbeck.

Queens Park Golf Course, established in 1905, is a rural haven set in the middle of Bournemouth. The fairways meander freely through many acres of lovely heathers, colourful gorse and all in a wonderful pine woodland setting. The greens are fast and true, providing a challenge to even the best golfers.
